L'ancien président de la Réserve fédérale américaine Alan Greenspan estime que les problèmes induits par l'augmentation des défauts sur le segment du crédit immobilier à faible garantie risquent de se propager à d'autres secteurs de l'économie.

Décidément, Alan Greenspan est un retraité actif. L'ancien président de la Réserve fédérale américaine refait parler de lui en pleine crise des "subprimes" aux Etats-Unis, ces emprunts à hauts risques qui ont enregistré des taux de défaut de paiements historiques, faisant craindre la diffusion d'un risque systémique au sein de la première économie mondiale et ayant provoqué de forts remous sur les places boursières du monde entier en début de semaine...
